HOME FIRE RECORDS PUBLISHER
Home Fire Records Publisher is operated by Steve Waddington, who releases independent music through Home Fire Records. It is a private publishing tool used to manage Steve’s Facebook music Page, Steve’s Music. It is not a service offered to the general public.
This policy covers the app’s use of Facebook data. For information about browsing this website, see the website privacy policy.
When an authorised administrator connects the app to Facebook, the app uses Meta’s API to access information needed to identify and manage the authorised Page. This includes:
The current publishing workflow does not retrieve private messages, lists of followers, visitors’ personal profiles or individual audience members’ activity.
The information is used to check that the app is connected to the correct Page, create and schedule approved music-promotion posts, verify their contents and status, avoid duplicate posts, and remove authorised app-created posts when instructed.
Page and post information may be recorded in internal campaign records for troubleshooting and maintaining a publication history. The workflow uses AI-assisted software to prepare and check promotion material; Page and post information used in that work may be processed by the service providers supporting that software.
Facebook data is not sold or used to build advertising profiles of individual listeners.
Access tokens and the app secret are stored in access-restricted credential files, separate from public website content and campaign records. Campaign records may contain Page and post identifiers, post text, links, timestamps and verification results, but must not contain access tokens or the app secret.
Access is limited to the operator and the authorised systems and service providers supporting the publishing workflow. Information is retained while needed to operate the connection, maintain the publication history or investigate publishing problems. Data that is no longer needed can be removed as described below.
Meta processes information on its own systems under Meta’s Privacy Policy. Information handled by supporting service providers may be processed outside Australia.
An authorising administrator can revoke the app’s access through Facebook’s Business Integrations settings, or the relevant Apps and Websites settings where the app appears. Removing the integration prevents further access through that authorisation; it does not automatically delete posts already published on Facebook or copies held in internal campaign records.
To request deletion of information held by Home Fire Records Publisher, email stevew@onet.com.au with the subject Home Fire Records Publisher — data deletion. Identify the Facebook account or Page concerned and describe the information you want removed. Do not send passwords or access tokens.
Steve will confirm the request and, where necessary, verify that the requester is entitled to have the information removed. Relevant stored authorisation credentials and associated internal records will be deleted when no longer required, unless retention is necessary for a legal obligation. The response will explain any information that must be retained and why.
Deleting internal records does not itself delete a Facebook post. Requests to remove posts must identify the posts concerned and are handled separately by the Page administrator. Meta controls deletion from its own systems.

This policy will be updated if the app’s purpose or data-handling practices change.
