STEVE WADDINGTON MUSIC UPLOADER

Privacy notice

LAST UPDATED 29 AUGUST 2026

Who operates this tool

Steve Waddington Music Uploader is a private publishing tool operated by Steve Waddington in Perth, Western Australia. It is used only for Steve's own YouTube channel and is not offered to the public. Privacy questions or deletion requests can be sent to stevew@onet.com.au.

YouTube API Services

The tool uses YouTube API Services and Google OAuth 2.0. Its use is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service, YouTube API Services Terms of Service, YouTube API Services Developer Policies and Google Privacy Policy.

Information the tool accesses

After Steve explicitly authorises the tool through Google OAuth, it may access only the YouTube information needed to prepare, perform and verify authorised publishing work:

The tool does not ask for or store Steve's Google password. It does not retrieve YouTube Analytics, subscriber details, viewing histories, ratings, comments or advertising data. Although Google's wording for the authorised scope is broad, this client does not implement a video-delete command and does not use unrelated comment, rating or caption functions.

How the information is used

The information is used solely to:

The tool does not sell data, build advertising profiles, calculate derived audience metrics or make YouTube data available to the public.

Storage and security

OAuth credentials and tokens are held in owner-only files on a private Linux server in Australia. The token files are excluded from public website content and campaign documents. Access is restricted to Steve and operators he expressly authorises.

Local source media, manifests and campaign records remain in Steve's private workspace. Limited YouTube API response data—such as channel ID, video ID, title, visibility and processing status—may be retained in restricted operational and compliance records.

An AI promotion agent operated for Steve may process limited metadata and API results solely to prepare, execute and verify Steve's authorised uploads. This processing occurs on Steve's behalf; it is not used for advertising, audience profiling, sale of data or independent derived metrics. Video bytes are sent directly from the private uploader to YouTube during the API upload process.

Sharing

Information is sent to Google and YouTube only as required to provide the authorised API functions. Limited operational data may be processed by the technical service providers used to operate Steve's private server and authorised AI agent. It is not sold, rented or disclosed to advertisers or unrelated third parties.

Retention and refresh

The OAuth token is retained while Steve continues to authorise the tool. Retained YouTube API metadata is refreshed before operational use and at least every 30 days when it remains necessary. Data that is no longer necessary is deleted or refreshed within 30 calendar days, consistent with the YouTube API Services Developer Policies.

User-supplied source files and metadata are Steve's own content rather than data collected from another user through the API; they are retained according to Steve's normal private music-production and campaign records.

Revoking access and deleting API data

Steve can withdraw consent directly through the tool operator. The client will call Google's token-revocation endpoint, remove the locally stored OAuth token and delete retained YouTube API data as soon as practical and no later than seven calendar days after the request.

Access can also be revoked through Google's third-party connections and security permissions page. Token validity is checked whenever the tool is used and at least every 30 days while API data is retained. If revocation is detected through Google, associated YouTube API data will be deleted as soon as practical and no later than 30 calendar days after detection.

To request confirmation of revocation or deletion, email stevew@onet.com.au.

Changes to this notice

This notice will be updated before the tool materially changes the YouTube data it accesses, stores, shares or uses. The current version and revision date will remain available at this URL.
